The Senators are on a three-game win streak that includes a 6-2 win over the Maple Leafs this past Friday. Ottawa is averaging nearly 3.00 goals per game, surpassing that mark in each of their last two games. With goaltender Cam Talbot on the shelf, we should see Anton Forsberg take the crease. Forsberg has allowed just three goals against through his last three starts, all wins.
Montreal is on the opposite end of the spectrum with three straight losses where they've been outscored 13-5. The Habs are averaging just 2.52 goals scored per game while allowing over 3.50 against on the year. In terms of special teams, they have the worst power play in the league while sporting a bottom 4 penalty kill.
Some recent trends to note, Ottawa has taken both games against the Canadiens this year and shut them out 5-0 this past Saturday with Forsberg in net.
